Napoli’s relationship with the world has always extended far beyond the city itself. Millions of emigrants — first-generation Neapolitans and the descendants of Neapolitan families — have carried the club with them, creating pockets of Azzurri support across the globe. And then there is Diego Armando Maradona. Argentina’s greatest football icon, and a figure whose influence reaches well beyond the game, is also the face most closely associated with Napoli’s history.
For the club’s Centenary season, the new Away shirt draws on those connections. Its design is a tribute to Neapolitans living abroad and to Argentina, two worlds that have long shared a special bond with the Azzurri. The colours tell part of the story — white, sky blue, the contrast of simple lines — but the setting adds another layer. The launch campaign was shot in Buenos Aires, through some of the city’s most recognisable places: La Boca, Caminito, Puente de la Mujer, the Casa Rosada and Plaza de Mayo. One of the locations was La Boca 5.0, Alfredo Segatori’s installation created for the Exabrupto de Color project, which reinterprets a historic conventillo, the shared homes that welcomed generations of European immigrants, particularly from Italy, from the late nineteenth century onwards.
The shirt begins with a white base, finished with sky-blue details. Contrasting stripes run through the fabric, giving the design a refined, contemporary character while keeping its connection to Napoli’s identity intact. The SSC Napoli crest sits against a backdrop inspired by the Bay of Naples and the unmistakable silhouette of Mount Vesuvius, a symbol that continues to represent the city for Neapolitans everywhere. On the back of the collar, a single word appears: Partenopei. A name that carries the history, roots and pride of a people. Like the Home shirt, the Away version also features NFC technology integrated into the Authentic patch, opening access to exclusive content from the world of SSC Napoli.
