These are important days for Undici. Twelve years after its foundation, and in the context of the biggest World Cup ever, the magazine has chosen to begin a new and ambitious phase: its launch on the international market.
Those who follow our products — the website, the print magazine, our social channels — will have noticed a shift in form, not in identity. Undici is taking its way of telling football and sport, a narrative built on a high and transversal approach, analytical and elegant, into new territories.
The first issue of the English-language magazine, this new website, the transformation of our digital platforms mark the start of a path increasingly oriented towards a global market, without borders, therefore vast, still to be explored.
To mark this transition, this significant moment, Undici Goes Global. Properly, though: on Wednesday 17 June, our brand was at the centre of three different events across three continents.
Step by step, or rather time zone by time zone. The first took place in Hong Kong, where the Undici launch party was held. In the presence of the local community and Alessandro de Felice, CEO of Most Media Group and founder of Undici, the new editorial project was presented, its vision and mission in an evolving and compelling media landscape such as Hong Kong.

A few hours later, in Milan — where it all began in 2014 — a Watch Party for England–Croatia 4–2 was organised, arguably the most compelling match of the group stage. Special guests included Stefano Borghi (Sky Sport commentator) and Tommaso Conte (content creator), alongside members of the Undici community and many English and Croatian fans.
A moment shared around football, and around Undici’s new international path. A way to celebrate both the historical identity and the future of the magazine. Already in a new era, still rooted in its origins.

Change was also the central idea of the event held in New York, where a documentary — produced by Undici — was screened on the evolution of football in the city. A journey through the different layers of New York soccer, from amateur teams to organisations that use the game to create opportunities for people from disadvantaged communities.
The film is titled Soccer Society and will soon be available on Undici’s YouTube channel. The trailer is below.

In the space of a few hours, Undici went around the world. Literally, not metaphorically.
For those working on the magazine, it was a moment of contact with contexts and people so distant from one another, and yet connected through football and sport.
But the journey has only just begun.
