The Ballon d’Or ceremony has become a fashion event in its own right. At London’s Palladium, the red carpet was a runway for footballers and other familiar faces, with plenty of memorable looks on display. Harry Kane, winner of the men’s award, wore Thom Sweeney, while the women’s winner, Alexia Putellas, wore Dior. Lamine Yamal chose Chanel, Kylian Mbappé wore Dior, and Rodri, Yoann Diomande and Unai Simón all arrived in Dolce & Gabbana. It was a big night for Simón, too, who took home the Yashin Trophy, awarded to the goalkeeper who receives the most votes from the France Football jury. The Spanish international had been one of the standout performers at the World Cup just months earlier. Gianluigi Donnarumma won the award in 2025, having also claimed it in 2021. Some of the evening’s standout looks, below.
