Luis Enrique is not only one of the best coaches of his generation, but also a very rich entrepreneur

Above all in the real estate market, where today he reorganises his company managed by his wife.

Another Ligue 1 celebrated in Paris, while waiting to complete the assault on the second consecutive Champions League. In European football it is clearly the magic moment of Luis Enrique, who has managed to turn into a legendary side a PSG that for too long had remained an unfulfilled big team. And the strategic qualities of the Spanish coach can be glimpsed off the pitch too, with a substantial fortune accumulated thanks to the know-how of someone who, despite living off sport, does not limit himself only to sport.

The news of these last hours is that Luis Enrique has decided to hand over to his wife Elena Cullell the management of Patrimonial Lupasi SL, a holding company of real estate investments – above all in the sphere of luxury residential complexes – that has grown hand in hand with the career of the Asturian coach. As part of the changeover at the top of the company a share capital increase of over 1.4 million euros has also been allocated – is this the destination of the victory bonuses accumulated in these months? It must be underlined that Patrimonial Lupasi, of which Luis Enrique up to now has been the sole administrator, registers a patrimony of 27 million euros, which makes it one of the giants of the sector in all of Spain.

The coach’s riches go beyond, with other companies of smaller dimensions in the most disparate areas: Ristar Horses SL, founded in 2020, is specialised in equestrian activities; Gesternova SA is engaged in the sector of construction and the management of raw materials; other investments are registered instead in the field of renewable energy. Behind this such diversified portfolio there is always the name of Luis Enrique, who like other successful entrepreneurs in the world of sport – from David Beckham to Andy Murray – demonstrates that going beyond one’s own core business, with the right choices and the right competence, often turns out to be a winning choice. On a par with the Champions Leagues in the trophy cabinet.

It must then be underlined that beyond this series of activities, over the years Luis Enrique has also been the protagonist of several initiatives with a social and charitable purpose. Above all after the tragic death of his daughter Xana, which led the coach to commit himself personally to financing research on childhood cancer: during the 2022 World Cup, in Qatar, the then head coach of the Spanish national team had started a series of successful live streams on Twitch, the proceeds of which – around 30 thousand euros on that occasion – had all been donated to charity to a specialised organisation in Barcelona. And also for this, despite the fact that success can make people unlikeable, Luis Enrique remains one of the most appreciated and admired coaches on the international scene. As for ending up on the roof of Europe again, then, we can only imagine.
